1. Terms of Service
Between: Wideangle Holdings Limited (registration number 205949305), TIN 205949305, of Mwanga Towers, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 33350, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which operates Daftari.live as Daftari OS Technologies ("Daftari", "we") and the business or institution that signs up ("the client", "you"). Daftari OS Technologies is a Wideangle Holdings Limited company.
1.1 What Daftari is. Daftari is online software that helps a service business run its bookings, customers, payments received, receipts and reports. It is used by hotels, lodges, salons, institutions and other service businesses. It is a tool. It does not run your business, set your prices or take decisions for you.
1.2 Who may sign up. A business or institution operating in Tanzania, through an owner or a person the owner authorises. You confirm that the person signing up has authority to bind you.
1.3 Your account and people. The owner controls who in your business can sign in and what each person can do. You are responsible for what your people do in the app, for keeping sign-in details private, and for removing people who leave. Tell us at once if you think a sign-in has been misused.
1.4 Trial. A new client may start with a free trial. The length is shown when you sign up. Nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends you need a paid period to continue.
1.5 Plans and payment. Daftari is sold as a weekly plan (7 days), a monthly plan (30 days) or a yearly plan (365 days). The price is shown in TZS inside the app before you pay. Every plan is prepaid. Nothing is taken from you automatically: no card or mobile money is ever charged by us, and your account only continues when you pay. You pay by the methods shown inside the app. Payment instructions and our collection account appear only inside the app, after you sign in. Do not pay any account given to you by message, call or social media unless it also appears inside your Daftari account.
1.6 How a payment is confirmed. After you pay, you send proof inside the app. This is the transaction ID, and a screenshot if you wish. We check that the money has arrived and then confirm it. Sending proof does not by itself switch on or extend your account. We aim to confirm within one working day, but this is a target and not a guarantee. If we cannot match a payment we will say so in the app and contact you.
1.7 Dates and renewal. Your paid period is counted from the confirmation of your money, not from the moment you send proof. If your paid period is still running when we confirm a renewal, the new period is added after the end date you already have, so paying early loses you nothing. If your paid period has ended but you are still in grace, the new period starts from your old end date, so grace days count as paid days. If your account has already been restricted, the new period starts when we confirm the payment. Money above the plan price is kept as credit on your account and lowers your next payment. The app shows the credit and the amount left to pay.
1.8 Grace. If a paid period ends without renewal, Daftari may, at its own choice, allow a short grace period of up to 14 days at a time. Grace is a courtesy. It can be ended, and it creates no right to further grace.
1.9 When access stops. When your trial, paid period and any grace have ended, your account is restricted until you pay. The owner can still open the Register to read it. Other functions are locked until you renew. Renewing restores access. Your data is not deleted because access has stopped.
1.10 Suspension. We may suspend an account if: it has misused the service (see Acceptable Use); we reasonably believe an account is compromised; we are required to by law; or a payment was reversed or found to be false. A suspension that we set is lifted by us, by hand, when the reason is resolved. Making a payment does not lift a suspension by itself. Days you have already paid for are not removed because of a suspension.
1.11 Your data. Your business records are yours. You permit Daftari to store and process them only to provide the service, keep it secure, make backups, and support you. The owner can download your records at any time, including after a plan ends or while the account is restricted. If you ask us in writing to close your account and delete your records, we do so as set out in the Privacy Policy, section 2.10.
1.12 Your customers' data. If you record details about your customers, you decide what to collect and why. You must have a lawful reason, tell your customers (a short notice is in section 5), and keep their information only as long as needed. Daftari processes that data for you, on your instructions, under the Processing Schedule in section 6.
1.13 Receipts and records. Receipts and reports made by the app are only as correct as what you enter. A receipt from Daftari is a record of a sale or payment. It is not a fiscal receipt unless the law requires one and you issue it through the fiscal system. Tax, licensing and accounting duties remain yours.
1.14 Availability. We work to keep Daftari running and we make regular backups, but we do not promise it will never be down. Planned maintenance is announced where practical. Keep a simple fallback, such as a paper register, for outages, especially at the front desk.
1.15 Support. Support is by the contact details in the app. Response times are best efforts unless we agree otherwise in writing.
1.16 Changes. We may improve or change features. If we change these Terms in a way that matters to you, we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it applies. If you do not agree you may stop using Daftari. If you tell us within that time that you are leaving because of the change, we refund the unused part of any paid period after the change date, in proportion.
1.17 Ending the agreement. Because Daftari is prepaid and never charges automatically, you can stop at any time by not renewing. You may also ask us to close your account by the contact details in the app. Stopping does not refund a paid period that has started, except as the Refund Policy says. We may end the agreement for serious or repeated breach, with notice where reasonable.
1.18 Limits on our responsibility. To the extent the law allows: Daftari is provided as a tool, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings or indirect loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and at least the monthly plan price. Nothing here limits liability we cannot lawfully limit, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
1.19 Intellectual property. Daftari owns the software, design and name. You keep your content and data. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the software.
1.20 Law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking. If that fails, the courts of Dar es Salaam have jurisdiction.
1.21 Contact. 0743 500 267 · support@daftari.live · Mwanga Towers, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 33350, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: share sign-in details or let unauthorised people use your account; enter someone else's personal data without a lawful reason; submit false payment proof or false transaction IDs; try to reach other clients' data or Daftari's systems; try to change an account's status, dates or access without authority; use Daftari for anything illegal, including fraud or money laundering; or damage, overload or copy the service. Free trials and any grace period we grant are allowed. Serious breach may lead to suspension (Terms 1.10).
6. Processing Schedule (between the client and Daftari)
This short schedule applies where Daftari processes customer and booking information for a client.
- Instructions. Daftari processes your records only to provide the service and as you instruct through the app or in writing.
- Confidentiality. Daftari staff are bound to keep your data confidential and have access only as their job needs.
- Providers. Daftari uses hosting and backup providers (and a text message provider where you use messages) and keeps them bound to protect the data. A list is available on request.
- Security. Daftari applies the measures described in the Privacy Policy, section 2.7.
- Incidents. Daftari tells you of a security breach affecting your data without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware.
- Exports. The owner can download the records at any time, including after a plan ends.
- Deletion. Daftari deletes your records on your written request, as in Privacy Policy section 2.10.
- Help. Daftari helps you answer requests from people about their data, and permits reasonable checks by you on how it handles the data.
